Non-profit charity organisation “Ireland’s Lithuanians Care“ was found in September, 2014. Our aim is to financially support children suffering from cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening illnesses. We hope to unite Ireland’s Lithuanians, companies and organisations, people that could support those in need. Our purpose is to help children and their families in Lithuania, mainly, financially to make their lives easier.
After losing a close friend to cancer, driven by a desire to make a difference and ambition to help children, whose careless childhoods were destroyed by this evil illnesses, we aspire to support families, that have to experience the most horrible thing in life – child’s sickness, pain and uncertainty. Our volunteers do an amazing job without pay.
Our organisation was established not too long ago, but little by little we hope to go further ahead. Since 2014 we donated over 100 000 euro.
If each of us could stop just for a minute and think about those, whose lives are so difficult the world would be a better place.

RITA LAMSARGYTĖ MOCKĖ – FOUNDER
Volunteering is satisfying for some; meaningful for others. Voluntary work increases person's self-esteem. Others see no point in volunteering because they don’t believe that it is possible to change the world. In my opinion, when you help at least one ill child, the world becomes a better place!
